Enhanced Services for students

Certain groups of students such as those with additional learning needs or gifted and talented would benefit from a range of enhanced Careers Guidance. We are able to offer packages that include Morrisby psychometric profiling followed by one to one interventions with students and parents. Benefits would include a detailed analysis of student aspirations, strengths and weaknesses to support discussion and produce a detailed pathway plan to best match the student’s needs. The Morrisby profile provides a comprehensive assessment of aptitudes, personality and interests from which students receive a detailed, high quality, computer generated report. Reports include details on further education, training and careers. All subsequent discussions with the Careers Adviser will be documented with clear information about next steps. Profiling can be delivered in groups or individually with follow up one to one discussion which can include parents. Young people aged 16 and 17 have found the Morrisby Profile to be the most illuminating, supportive and motivational aspect of their careers education, information advice and guidance programme. Year 10 and 11 students have found the reports valuable as they plan their post 16 learning routes while the year 12 students used the reports to kick start their higher education research.
